Artist Statement
My Name is Niqué Jenkins. As a Visual Effects Artist I aspire to create knowledge in the form of entertainment. Inspired by forms of media that portray conflict through happiness, joy through turmoil, and courage through fear, I desire to become more than what I am though every creative process.
I prefer to work on projects with meaning. When people see my work I would like for them to be inspired, and satisfied in the knowledge of being unaware of my contribution. If through a project I allow a child to find understanding in imagination, or remind an adult of joy and humor, then I know I have been successful. Through collaborating with other artist and the use of my own talents, I have found that collaborative compositing can bring forth both marvelous compositions, and pleasant accidents. By taking every mistake and treat is as a learning experience, I alter my skills to acquire a better outcome.
Recently my focus has been on understanding all forms of Visual Effects as a whole. Through this I have found a love for compositing and tracking. There are so many ways to track an object and countless surfaces being left untracked to station CG elements that the only limitation is one's imagination.
